Dreadnought Guitar

A pre-owned guitar I made in 1987. At that time I was establishing myself as a luthier making instruments which were constructed of indigenous species of timber. The soundboard is spruce, the back and sides are sycamore while the fingerboard, bridge and bindings are walnut. The neck is maple with a walnut central splice and the bridge pins are boxwood.

There are some plectrum scars by the soundhole and the cellulose lacquer has some 'checking' commensurate with it's age but otherwise the guitar is in excellent condition with a comfortable action and a lively rich tone. The guitar comes complete with the original Hiscox high quality moulded hard case it was supplied with in 1987.

Carved Top Flat Back Mandolin

A pre-owned mandolin in excellent condition. The top is carved European spruce and the back and sides are lacewood. The neck is sycamore with an ebony fingerboard. To reflect the natural colours of the lacewood, I gave the sycamore and spruce a slight tobacco sunburst treatment and finished with a clear semi-gloss hard wearing lacquer. Schaller M/Heads and adjustable ebony bridge. A Fishman endpin jack is fitted ready to receive a pick up if required.

Solid Acoustic Guitar

African mahogany body and through neck with spruce top, Fishman under saddle pick-up with active pre-amp
