Cirrus 15/12 for Paul Croft

Paul Croft is a singer/guitarist who up to now has used the classical guitar to accompany himself when singing his own or other people's songs. His repertoire is very wide and varied including Latin American and Bach solos with the vocal numbers. He decided the steel string guitar would be more appropriate for some items and was inspired to come up with this design for a steel string after seeing Steve Tilston's Stratus 14/12.

It is based on my Cirrus model but with many quite radical added features like the straight cutaway, flush heel at the 12th fret and trapezoidal bridge.

Paul very bravely took a big risk in asking me to make this totally new and untested design and then went one step further and asked for Brazilian Rosewood back and sides ! I was extremely flattered that he should have so much faith in me.

The guitar has turned out to be one of the best sounding guitars I have ever made and that Brazilian Rosewood looks absolutely stunning !
